This is a big company, with little movement on things. People are still quite busy (though nowhere near what it was with the last startup), but most of the time is spent preparing for reports, project management, reviewing what has happened, meeting new people, understanding the existing infrastructure... in other words, very little actual work is done. <br /><br />Then, do I think I made the right move? You bet! I get to leave home an hour later and come home an hour early. The job function is different from what I have traditionally done, but it's something I've been doing on the side for several years already.<br /><br />An ideal job should be "lots of money, little to do, and close to home". My new job is definitely closer (a lot closer!) to home, will generate more money, and we'll have to see about the "little to do" part.<br /><br />All in all, I am happy now.
